Prime numbers are what is left when you have taken all the patterns away. I think prime numbers are like life. They are very logical but you could never work out the rules, even if you spent all your time thinking about them.

Speaking of maths, do you know that Fermat's Last Theorem (x^n + y^n = z^n has no solutions for n>2, and n is a whole number) was recently solved? It was the longest unsolved mathematical problem in history, until some guy called Andrew Wiles cracked it in 1993. The proof is well over a 1000 pages long.
